Herman Glasenapp, Jr. 86, of Monroe City, IN, passed away March 23, 2015, at Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice Unit. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Edna (Hannah) Glasenapp; his two daughters, Jeanne Walker, and Brenda Jo Glasenapp; two brothers, Timothy Glasenapp and his wife Shirley, and Donald Hettich; two sisters, LaDonna Schonert and her husband Rick, and Cathy Silotto and her husband Jim; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father, Herman Glasenapp, Sr.; his step-father, Nicolas Hettich; his mother, Edna Mae Hettich; and a brother Bob Hettich. Herman worked at Brown Shoe for 25 years, and at Hamilton Glass for 27 years. He retired in 1996. He and his wife enjoyed every moment together working on their farm and their shared love of participating in their beloved church, Hamline Chapel. He was a Korean War veteran, and a member of the American Legion. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 4:00 - 8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, and from 1:00 - 2:00 on Friday, at Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family through goodwinfamilyfh.com.
