Hunter Gus Bobe

Hunter Gus Bobe, 26, of Vincennes, IN passed away May 25, 2024. He was born in Washington, IN on February 24, 1998, to David Gus and Laura L. (Strate) Bobe. Hunter graduated from Lincoln High School in 2020. He attended the KCARC Baker Center.


Hunter enjoyed watching Elmo, Scooby Doo, Barney, and all the Disney movies on his treasured ipad. He was always a bright and happy soul with a magnetic personality that drew people in. He was a supporter of his siblings sporting events and could often be seen there cheering them on. He loved being with his family and gave the best kisses and loved holding hands. Hunter also enjoyed cuddling with his mom and dad. He will be deeply missed by all who came across his path and will be remembered for his strength, courage, and resilience.


He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bill and Janet Bobe; maternal grandparents Peggy and Frank Blackburn; aunt Nancy Bathe.


Hunter is survived by his mother Laura (Christopher Ade) Bobe; father David Gus (Lynda Donaldson) Bobe; siblings Mackenzie (Kelby) Pepmeier, Blake Bobe, Delaney Bobe, Presley Bobe, Jackson Bobe; nephew Kaden Pepmeier; niece Kynlee Pepmeier; aunts and uncles Pam Bobe, Patty (J.M.) Vieck, David Mulheron, Judy Bobe, Larry (Donna) Bobe, Denny Strate, Debbie (Doug) Gary, Karen Weber; maternal grandfather Albert Strate; and several cousins, friends, and extended relatives.


Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care of Hunter. Visitation will be held May 30, 2024, from 4 to 8 pm and May 31, 2024, from 10 am to service time at 524 Broadway St. The funeral service will begin promptly at 11 am with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery to follow.


The family would like to give special thanks to the numerous individuals in the Vincennes Community School Corporation, KCARC, and the doctors and nurses who provided care to Hunter throughout the years.


Memorial donations can be made to the Hunter Gus Bobe Scholarship, to assist students who help with the special needs through the Vincennes Education Foundation, in Hunter's honor.
