Idella (Cooper) Pipher, 82, of Vincennes, passed away Mar. 7, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Idella had worked at Schulteis Furniture, and later became manager at Finke's Furniture. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. A graduate of Lincoln High School, she also attended Vincennes Business College. Born Nov. 27, 1931 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Thomas and Marie (Allen) Cooper. Her parents; and her brothers, Thomas and Robert Cooper, preceded her. Surviving is her husband, Ralph Pipher; daughters, Linda Couch of Bloomington, IN, and Lori (Robert) Switalski of Uniontown, OH; sisters, Luella Black, Nancy Schaeffer, Kitty (John) Keller, and Ginger Wollerman, all of Vincennes, Helen Twitty of Roswell, GA; her brother, Larry (Ann) Cooper of Vincennes; a sister-in-law, Dottie Cooper of Vincennes; and her grandchildren, Caitlin Couch, Megan Couch, Allison Couch, Karlee Davis, Benjamin Switalski, Kyle Davis, Kinsey Switalski, and Kameron Davis. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, from 4:00 - 8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, and on Tuesday, from 10:00 - 11:00 at the First Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church at 11:00 on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
