Ina Cooper

Ina Claire (Mitchell) Cooper, 82 of 1509 N. 11th Street, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a native of Vincennes, IN born July 11, 1930 the daughter of James and Mary (Abell) Mitchell. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948 and married Walter Cooper, Jr. May 13, 1949. She retired from Commonwealth Life Insurance Company as office manager and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. Ina loved sewing and knitting. She was an avid bowler for years and loved playing euchre. Her pride and joy was her family.Surviving are her children, Jan Pepmeier and her husband Randy of Salem, IN; Lana Cox and her husband Mark of Newburgh, IN; Steve Cooper and his wife Jill of Vincennes; six grandchildren, Jason Pepmeier and his wife Kandi, Jennifer Miller and her husband Jeremy, Leslie Corn and her husband Matt, Lucas Meyer, Allison Cooper, Mitchell Cooper; five great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Blayton Miller, Brandon and Brody Pepmeier and Collin Corn.Funeral services for Ina will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 606 N. 5th Street, with the Dr. Rev. Kate Lambertson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Ina's family from 4-8 pm on Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway.
