Iva Lou McCabe, 89, of Vincennes, went to be with Lord at 3:10 pm Monday, October 21, at her residence surrounded by her familyShe was born October 26, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Virgil and Mary Lou (Hargis) Horrall.Iva Lou retired as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. Her memberships included First Baptist Church, American Nurses Association, and the Vincennes University Alumni Association. Iva Lou enjoyed gardening, flowers, bird watching, and loved her family unconditionally.She is survived by her husband ,Horace McCabe, whom she married on July 3, 1969; her children, Todd McCabe (Bobbie) of Elkhart, Rita Odell (Randy Brooks) of Vincennes, John O'Dell of Vincennes, Cara DePina of Bridgeport, and Tonya Harper (Van) of Vincennes; Darlene O'Dell; her sisters, Yvonne McCrary of Spavinaw, OK, Mary Belle Sewell of Vincennes; her grandchildren, Stephanie Fletcher, Daphanie Peck, Dawn Shots, Buffy DePina, John D. O'Dell, Brandi Porter, Kaley Decker, Jake Harper, Madison Wood, Brandon McCabe, Donnie Skidmore, Dianna Peach, and Kevin O'Dell as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Abner Horrall and Tommy Horrall; a sister, Ruth Hafflett; son, Dannie O'Dell; son- in- law, James DePina, and a great grandchild, Adeline Grace Porter.A celebration of Iva Lou's Life will be held at 1:00 Friday, October 25, 2019 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Turner officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Edwardsport Oddfellows Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army. Goodwin Funeral is honored to serve the family of Iva Lou McCabe.
