Scott Fields, 48, passed away at 10:08 am on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Scott was born on January 18, 1965 in Blythe, CA the son of Jack and Sondra(Snider) Fields.Scott loved to sing, especially karaoke; he loved the Dallas Cowboys and Elvis and was a NASCAR fan. He was proud of the fact that he had personally met legendary drag car racer John Force. Scott was loved by his whole family and numerous amounts of friends. He wrote articles for the Central West Virginian. (Your online daily) In his younger days he played YMCA football and continued to play through his freshman year at Lincoln High School. Scott was a 1984 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School and went on after that to receive three degrees from Vincennes University.Survivors include his parents, Jack and Sondra Fields of Vincennes, brothers, Rick Fields of Loogootee, IN; John Fields and his wife Deanna of Vincennes; sisters, Pam Boldrey and her husband Dennis of Morganfield, KY; Linda Fields of West Plains, MO; Gala Fields of Vincennes; caregivers, Frank, Joe, Shelly, Diane, and head nurse Joni, R.N. Scott is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.A memorial service for Scott will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. with Pastor Debbie Salters officiating. Friends may visit with Scott's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday.
