Jack Hill

Jack E. Hill, 87, passed away at 2:50 pm on February 11, 2016 at the New Willow Manor Nursing Home. Jack was born on August 6, 1928 in Paris, IL the son of Byron and Lena (Gass) Hill. Jack married Juanita Elliott on March 23, 1950 and she preceded him in death on November 10, 2015. Jack started working for Public Service Indiana in 1959 as a lineman and worked his way up to area Superintendant for Duke Energy retiring in 1995. He also enjoyed woodworking and reading.Survivors include his son, Stephen E. Hill and his wife Joyce of Greencastle; granddaughter, Kelly Schwenk and her husband Justin of Nashville, IN and great grandchildren, Alex and Addie Schwenk. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita Hill; two brothers, Byron Hill, Jr. and Preston Hill and one sister, Bonnie Turner. Funeral services for Jack will take place at 11:00 am on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Pastor Michael Julian officiating. Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery in Elbridge, IL. Friends may visit with Jacks family on Sunday from 9:00 am until the hour of service time of 11:00 am at the funeral home.
