James Anthis

James "Jim" E. Anthis, 84, of Vincennes, IN, passed away January 31, 2018.He was the co-owner of Anthis Heating and Cooling. Jim was a member of the Monroe City Masonic Lodge, #548, F & AM, the Scottish Rite in Evansville, IN, the Zorah Shrine Temple in Terre Haute, IN, and Community United Methodist Church.Born January 13, 1934 in Decker Chapel, IN, he was the son of Frank Victor and Bertha (Sherman) Anthis. His parents; his wife, Mary Margaret (Young) Anthis, who passed away May 2, 2014; and a brother, Frank Anthis, preceded him.Surviving are his children, James D. Anthis and his wife, Kimberly, of Vincennes, and Gayle Anderson and her husband, Mike, of Vincennes; a sister, Linda Sue Tolbert of Princeton, IN; his grandchildren, Ryan Anderson and his wife, Sam, Courtney Anderson and his wife, Deanna, Kristin Cullivan and her husband, Michael, Josh Anthis, Jenny Anthis, Jamie Bond and her husband, Cain, Lindsey Scott and her husband, Kellen, Whitney Twitty, Marcy Twitty, and Delaney Anthis; his great-grandchildren, Bianca Anderson, Layne Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, Gracelyn Cullivan, Lexus Anderson, Payton Cullivan, Lillian Anthis, Austin Anthis, Tony Bond, Mason Bond, Nolan Scott, Corraine Scott, and Camille Scott; and 2 great-grandchildren on the way.Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, at 11:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 on Monday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Donations may be made to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or to Shrine Children Hospitals.
