James C. Fox, 87, of Vincennes, passed away Sept. 3, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was retired from CSX Railroad, where he had worked as a lead maintainer in the Signal Dept. During WWII, he served in the Navy on the USS Crotan. Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing.Born Aug. 28, 1926, in Sullivan County, IN, he was the son of Joseph and Wilma L. (Gaskins) Fox. They preceded him, as well as his wife, Wilma R. (Allen) Fox; a grandson, Joshua Fox; and a brother, Keith Fox.Surviving are his children, Debbie Dodson of Vincennes, Anita (Larry) Ellermann of Vincennes, and Jay Fox of Decker; grandchildren, Stacy Dodson, Michelle Smith, Shaye Frye, Lindsey Hinkle, Jake Owens, and Jayla Fox; and his great-grandchildren, Landon Hinkle, Axl James Frye, Leightan Hinkle, and Riley Smith.The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home. A funeral service will start at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Fellows officiating. Committal services will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
