James "Jimmy" Carrico

James "Jimmy" E. Carrico Jr., 52, of Washington, Indiana, passed away on August 23, 2022 in Washington. He was born on June 30, 1970, to the late James E. Carrico Sr., and Marjorie Ann Moore Carrico, in Washington, Indiana. Jimmy was a 1989 graduate of Washington Catholic High School. After high school, he went on to obtain his associates degree in business at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana. Jimmy worked for the railroad for many years, and his most recent occupation was working as an installer for RTC Communications in Montgomery, Indiana. In his spare time, Jimmy loved to hunt whitetail deer and wild turkeys, and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed watching his son Caleb, his daughter Haven, and his nephew Logan play sports when he had the chance. He also liked harassing his sister Alicia, and spending time with his family. Jimmy loved a good laugh, had a great sense of humor, a heart of gold, and he lived his life to the fullest. Surviving Jimmy are his children, Caleb (Hannah) Carrico of Washington, Indiana, Haven Carrico of Washington, Indiana and her sister Halle Purcell, who was like a daughter to him, his sister, Alicia (Chris) Riester of Washington, his niece, Caitlyn (Dawson) Riester Welborn, his nephew Logan Riester, his special father figure, Jerry Johnson, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marjorie, paternal grandparents Elmer and Grace Carrico, and maternal grandparents Russell and Norma Jean Moore. Visitation for Jimmy will be held on Tuesday August 30, 2022, from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 2020 State St., Washington, Indiana 47501. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 11:00am at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home with Yvonne Evans officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Washington. Online condolences may be shared with the family at goodwinsievers.com.
