James Lane

James "Alex" Lane, 91, of Vincennes, passed away on August 1, 2014, at 6:36 PM, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. He was retired from Hamilton Glass, having worked there for thirty-two years and six months. Alex loved to play horseshoes and cards. He also enjoyed watching sports. Born June 21, 1923, in Knox County, IN, he was the son of Burton M. and Louetta (Hall) Lane. They preceded him, as well as two grandchildren, his special angels, Aimee and Shaun Bourlard; five sisters; and three brothers. Surviving is his wife, Betty (Cogdill) Lane, whom he married October 3, 1953; a daughter, Shirley (Sergio) Molina of Vincennes; a son, Timothy J. Lane; grandchildren, Aaron Bourlard, Brittney Lane, Mireya Molina, and Cassie Lane; and great-grandchildren, Isabella and Vanessa Boulard. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 2:00 on Wednesday, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 at the funeral home.
