James E. Malcolm, 85, of Vincennes, passed away Nov. 16, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was retired from the Packaging Corp. of America. During the Korean War he served in the US Army. Born July 24, 1929, in Crawford County, Illinois, he was the son of James Harlan and Ada (Barkley) Malcolm. Preceding were his parents; an infant brother; and his sisters, Wanda Neal, Eleanor Hadt, and Frances Sabin. Surviving is his wife, Sarah (White) Malcolm, whom he married Dec. 21, 1951; children, Janet Fleeger and her husband, Bob, of Newburgh, IN, Karen Harper and her husband, Nofel, Jr., and John Edward Malcolm, all of Vincennes; grandchildren, Chris Fleeger, Monica Myers and her husband, Jonathan, James Fleeger and his wife, Kerry, Billy Harper, Nofel Harper III, and his wife, Laura, Brandon Harper, and his fiance', Laci Cochran, and John Allen Malcolm; and his great-grandchildren, Kaedyn Brawdy, Taylin Brawdy, Brandon Harper, Jr., Kayene Fleeger, and Jeffrey Fleeger. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 5:00 - 8:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10:30, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with unexpected expenses.
