James Nickless

James M. Nickless, 72, of Vincennes, went to be with Jesus at 7:26 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2013 at his residence.James was born July 17, 1941 in Vincennes to James M. and Elizabeth (Howe) Nickless of Vincennes.James has two surviving brothers, Harley (his wife, Sylvia) of Oakland City, Indiana, and Kenny, (his wife, Martha) of Vincennes; sisters, Barbara (husband Kenneth) Burnworth of Vincennes, and Shirley Smith of Bridgeport, Illinois.He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at SAC Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington from 1963-1967.James had managed grocery stores and was pastor at churches over the years. He currently was the pastor at Life Pentecostal Church at 1201 State Street in Vincennes.He married Kathryn (Hatton) Nickless in 1961 and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. They were blessed with three children, Elaine (husband Dewayne) Fair of Texas, James Everett (wife Debra) Nickless of Evansville, and Beth Yvonne of Bloomington, seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.Celebration services will be held at 1:00 pm. Wednesday December 11, 2013 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Stremler ministering. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
