James Terrance O'Maley, 74 of Washington, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his residence.He was born July 2, 1946 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Herbert and Mary (Padgett) O'Maley.James graduated from Odon high School in 1964, Vincennes University, Indiana Agriculture Banking School at Purdue University, and the Graduate School of Banking and Commercial Lending School of the University of Indianapolis. He first worked at First national Bank of Odon, Peoples National Bank, and First Federal Savings Association of Washington retiring in 2008 as Senior Vice President.A member of the Plainville Christian Church, he enjoyed volunteering after retiring, and belonged to the Daviess County Auxiliary. He served as a Boy Scout Economic Merit Counselor, and was a member RSVP, Friends for Animals, Lion's Club of Odon, and the Daviess County Hospital Auxiliary.Terry married Sheila Callahan on October 2, 1990 in Las Vegas who survives him. Also surviving are his children Jim O'Maley and his wife Shelly of Washington, Julie Swarz of Bradenton, Fl, Jacki Perkins and her husband Gregg of Washington, and Doug Gehl of Taylor, MI; and his grandchildren Amber, Devin, Derek, Seth, Allison, Carter, and Mitchell.Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Charles Herbert "Bud" O' Maley, and twin granddaughters Abby and Annie Armes.Public visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN. Private funeral services will follow with burial at Walnut hill Cemetery in Odon. Memorial contributions may be made to Friends for Animals.
