James Jay Phegley

James Jay Phegley, 57, of Vincennes, IN, passed away on November 27, 2024, at his residence in Vincennes.

He was born on February 14, 1967, to James Jason & Norma (Stultz) Phegley in Vincennes.

James attended Lincoln High School and was a member of the 1985 graduating class. He was active in the basketball program and played all four years of his high school career. Following high school, he attended the University of Southern Indiana where he obtained his bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

He worked for Budweiser in South Bend, IN for several years before returning home to Vincennes. After returning home, he started working at Rural King where he has spent the last thirteen years employed. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vincennes and was proud of his faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing football, golf, and watching the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed his kitty cats he had at home. James loved his family, and especially his children. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors of James include his mother, Norma J. Phegley of Vincennes, IN; his children, Eric Dennin of San Diego, CA, Anthony Phegley of Indianapolis, IN, and Kathleen Phegley of South Bend, IN; his grandchild, Aries; his aunts, Joann & Mary K., and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Jason Phegley.
