James Street

James "Jim" H. Street, 81, 521 S. 13th Street, Vincennes, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at BridgePointe Health Campus. Born September 18, 1930, in Knox County, Indiana, he was the son of William and Reba (Manning) Street. Jim was a self-employed carpenter and co-owner of Street Brothers, Inc. for 30 years and then Allen and Street Construction for 7 years.Survivors include his wife, Helen Street of Vincennes; daughter, Janice Allen and her husband, Mark, of Vincennes; son, Ken Street and his wife, Brenda, of Vincennes; grandchildren, Jimmy Street of Fishers, IN, Elizabeth Street of Vincennes, Tricia Allen of Westfield, IN, Kristen Young and her husband, Kirk of Kansas City, MO, Staci Henderson and her husband, Brent of Fishers, IN and great granddaughter, Camille Henderson of Fishers, IN; sisters, Carol Eubank and her husband Gene of Vincennes, Mary McKinley and her husband Bill of Vincennes, Jean Sanneman and her husband Joe of Vincennes, and Donna Coomer and her late husband, Phil, of Vincennes.Preceding Jim in death were his parents; one son, James Edward Street and 2 brothers, Robert and Bill.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
