Jane Wilson

Jane M. (Wright) Wilson, 88, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away at 9:53am on January 16, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She had been in poor health for many years and more so in the last few months. She was born in New Lexington, Ohio on September 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Rathbone Wright and Jane M. Wright. First and foremost, Jane was a wonderful wife and mother. She worked in her earlier years in the secretarial field and later she became a dental assistant, finishing her career in Linton, Indiana. She was a member of the Vincennes First Church of God. Jane was known by her family and many friends as the one to call if you needed anything at all. She sat by many bedsides bringing comfort to the hurting. She was always checking on the lonely to be a compassionate friend to lean on. She loved the Lord with all her heart, loved her family, and was willing to sacrifice her own desires to make someone else feel loved and cared for. Surviving Jane is her husband: James E. Wilson; her daughters: Debbie Johnson (Tom), Janice Cary (Joe); four grandchildren: Jessica Cary Hill (Jason), Jeremy Johnson, Melissa Cary Sandullo (Evan), Joshua Johnson (Jordan); eight great-grandchildren: Kyran Sandullo, Adia Sandullo, Zackary Hill, Carter Johnson, Declan Sandullo, Sydney Johnson, Maddox Bahr, Cruz Becker; sisters: Mrs. Rose Ann Cook of Richmond, VA, and Mrs. Doris Louise Van Fossen of Newark, OH; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Rathbone and Jane Wright, her sisters: Bonnie Jean McWherter and Delores Mae Frecker; and her brothers: John J. Wright, Ned R. Wright. Visitation for Jane will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home 524 Broadway St. Vincennes, IN 47591 from 4:00 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the First Church of God 1408 E St. Clair St. Vincennes, IN 47591 at 10:30am with Pastor George Karl and Pastor Fred Nocus officiating.
