Janet Goodman

Janet L. Goodman, 70, of 2922 South Old US 41, Vincennes, passed away at Noon on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born January 25, 1941 in Vergennes, Illinois to Donnie & Bessie (Boin) Holt.Janet worked from 1978-1998 as manager of the Wonder Bread Thrift Store and had also worked at Kohl's in the jewelry department. She was a graduate of Bicknell High School and a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church.Surviving is her husband, James Goodman, whom she married March 28, 1959, her children, Debra K. Goodman of Indianapolis, Deanna (Jim) Witte of West Salem, IL, James "Jeff" (Teresa) Goodman II of Maysville, GA, David (Alicia) Goodman of Indianapolis, William (Lynn) Goodman of Bruceville, and a brother, Jerry Holt of Bicknell. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 6 brothers.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10:30 am at Goodwin Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Tesmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 Monday at the funeral home.
