Janet Kay Reel, 67, of Vincennes, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born June 25, 1951 in Greenville, Kentucky to Howard and Azlee (Stanley) Groves.Janet was a homemaker and a member of the Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Janet enjoyed being involved in church as she oversaw the church kitchen, drinking coffee on Tuesday mornings, and attending Thursday night bible study.Surviving are her husband, Rickie Reel of Vincennes; her children, Scott Groves of Bloomington, Chad Reel and his wife Amy of Robinson, Illinois; Janette Edgin and her husband Jeremy a sister, Marlene Murphy of Vincennes, and a brother Bill Groves of Connecticut; and six grandchildren; Gary Frye, Noah Edgin, Camdyn Edgin, Josiah Edgin, Logan Brimberry, and Chance Brimberry.She was preceded in death by her parents.Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Walker Hatton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamline Chapel Cemetery in Monroe City. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the start of the service. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Janet Reel.
