Janice Eads

Janice Marie Eads, age 82, passed away peacefully December 13, 2020 with her family by her side. She was born January 12, 1938 in Mount Vernon, Indiana to Wilfred and Alvenia Clark.Janice was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Gran to her grandkids and Gigi to her great-grandkids. She was full of grace and beauty inside and out.She was active and an instrumental member of St. James Episcopal Church. She also served on the Vincennes Housing Authority, was a member of the Garden Club, and enjoyed various other social activities. In her prime years, you could likely find her on the golf course or tennis court. She loved to compete in local tournaments and enjoyed the camaraderie.Janice worked at Mead Johnson right out of high school and then was employed by the Federal Bankruptcy Court until her early thirties when she moved Vincennes. She attended the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Vincennes University from 1984-86 and then worked as a PTA at Willow Manor Convalescent Center until she took a position at VU as a Physical Therapy Lab Instructor. She loved working with the students and found her career fulfillment in that position.Janice was preceded in death by her soul mate and companion, Jack Eads, her parents, and siblings Nadine Triggs, Donald Clark & Bobby Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline Eads Lee of Vincennes and Jessica (Corey) Potts of Haubstadt; grandchildren John (Adrienne) Lee, Jordan (Sheena) Lee, Kendall Potts, and Carly Potts, four great grandchildren, six sisters, and one bother.Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Goodwin Sievers Funeral Home, 534 Broadway, Vincennes. Private funeral services will be held with Rev. Trevor Murry officiating. Friends and family may watch the service on Facebook live through the funeral home Facebook page.Flowers are welcomed; and Janice requested other contributions be sent to the family or a charity of your choice.
