Janice La Marche

Janice La Marche, 66, of Vincennes, passed away Jan. 5, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital. She had worked as a LPN in home health care, and also for the Vincennes Housing Authority. Janice was a member of the Heritage Southern Baptist Church. Born July 4, 1947, in Kannapolis, NC, she was the daughter of Bruce and Margaret (Benfield) Allen. Preceding were her parents; a brother, Mike, a grandchild, Cooper Wood, and a step-son, Jonathan W. La Marche. Surviving is her husband, Frederick La Marche, whom she married July 10, 1993; her children, Amber (Wayne) Sloop, Erin (Jason) Nicolas, and Eddie (Shelly) Hill, Jr., all of Salisbury, NC; step-children, Frederick James La Marche of Florida, Robert E. La Marche of Jasper, IN, David J. La Marche of West Baden, IN, Linda Smith of Tennessee, and Richard Koyades of California; grandchildren, Lauren Hill, Rick Tracy, Jr., Megan Sloop, Everette Sloop III, Bryson Funderburk, Harley Bradshaw, Elizabeta Bradshaw, Cole Nicolas, Dameon Hill, and Lelu Hill; step-grandchildren, James, Erica, Brittany, Caitlen, Tabatha, Davina, Sarah, Jonica, and Jeffrey La Marche, and Weston Smith; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Stephen, and Olivia Bell, Kayden Funderburk, and Brody McLain; step-great-grandchildren, Gracie La Marche; sisters, Gail Dugann, Glen (Reese) Peoples, and Jo (Bill) Johnson; brothers, Herman (Cathy) Allen, Philip (Ann) Allen, Floyd (Frances) Allen, and Jerry (Linda) Allen; and her cousins, David La Marche and family of Lawrenceville, IL, Gus La Marche and family of Vincennes, IN, and Tina La Marche of Vincennes, IN. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, at 11:00, at the Gardner-Brockman Funeral Home, 505 Main St. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00, and on Friday, from 10:00 - 11:00.
