Janie Kopp-Miles

Janie Kopp-Miles, 73, passed away at 2:40 pm on Saturday, May 30 2015 at the New Willow Manor Nursing Facility. Janie was born on January 12, 1942 in Vincennes the daughter of James E. and Anna Blanche (Carnes) Allen. Janie was a homemaker and attended the Nazarene Church. She was a member of the Psi Iota Xi, and the Vincennes Tennis Club. She was an active tennis player in Vincennes and South Carolina, enjoyed her grandchildren, playing the piano, gardening and working in her flower beds. Survivors include her daughters, Kelley Hopwood and her husband Joseph of Vincennes, Melissa Lynn O'Connor and her husband Louis of Montgomery, Kristi Waggoner and her husband Charlie of Vincennes; Grandchildren, Michael Alan Agee, Amberly Dawn Klein, Joshua Louis O'Connor, Aaron O'Connor, Kylee Lynn O'Connor, Carly Waggoner, Robert Waggoner, Grace Waggoner, Lily Waggoner, Shannon Hopwood; great grandchildren, Alan Michael Agee, Kelby Z. Klein, Kaylin Marie Klein, Mila O'Connor, Hattie O'Connor and Hunter Hopwood. Janie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, James Allen. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Ames Chapel Cemetery in French Lick. There will be no visitation and Goodwin Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Betty J. McCormick Senior Center.
