Jeanette Oliver

Jeanette E. Oliver passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 72.She was born to William and Eunice (Claxton) Heckler on March 13, 1947 in Olney, Illinois.Jeanette had worked at 3-D department store, served many people as a caregiver, and most recently as an accountant. A member of the Salvation Army, she enjoyed crocheting hats and giving them away to people at the Senior Citizen's Center.Surviving are her children Twyla McGavic and her husband Tim of Vincennes, and John Oliver and his wife Susann of Vincennes; her brother and sisters, Bob Heckler of Bridgeport, IL, LaVada Smith of Dundas, IL, and Lois Sutton of Paris, IL; her grandchildren, Nathon Oliver, Jacob Oliver, Kaden Rogers, and Destiny Lavely; her great grandchildren Weston Lavely, Joplin Lavely, and Aubrey Lane Oliver; and a step brother Terry Miles of Vincennes.She was preceded in death by her parents, her life partner Charles William Hitt; her brothers and sisters John Heckler, Boyd Heckler, Ralph Heckler, Don Heckler, Genell Miller, Yuvaughn Montony, Mary Green, Gerald Heckler, and Glenn Heckler.; and two grandchildren, Jack Dylan Stanley and Charles William Oliver.Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service Monday. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army.
