Jillene Thomas

Jillene Elaine Thomas, 43, of Washington, IN passed away June 13, 2023. She was born on May 3, 1980, in Washington, IN to Rudy and Kathy (Theroff) Tilley. Jill graduated from Pilgrim Holiness School in 1997. She married the love of her life, Aaron Thomas, on October 18, 2003. Jillene was a woman of faith and a devoted wife. She and Aaron would often travel to Bluegrass Festivals and enjoy the music and going to local restaurants. Jillene was a food connoisseur and loved trying new foods. She was passionate about sharing her recipes with others, especially while working for Taste of Home, where she would submit her own recipes to be published in different magazines throughout the country. Jillene also enjoyed vegetable gardening, camping, crafting, and fishing. She will be deeply missed by all. Jillene was preceded in death by her brother Jaret Tilley; and both her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, of 19 years, Aaron Thomas; parents Rudy and Kathy Tilley; parents-in-law Terry and Becky Thomas; sister-in-law Telesa (Nathan) Stevens; brother-in-law Troy (Christie) Thomas; nieces Savannah Stevens, Selah Stevens, Sabrielle Stevens; nephews Spencer Stevens, Devent Thomas, Eli Thomas, Seth Thomas; and several cousins and friends. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mrs. Thomas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 2020 State St. from 4-8pm and Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 10-12pm. Funeral service will be held June 21, 2023, at 12pm with burial at Twin Oaks Cemetery immediately following.
