Joella Nolley

JoElla Nolley, 94, of Washinton, IN passed away September 29, 2022. She was born to the late Ralph and Essie (Walker) Leonard. JoElla graduated from Washington High School in 1946. She was an active member of the local American Legion, Eagles and VFW. JoElla enjoyed many things in life such as jigsaw puzzles, playing Euchre and Rum card games, watching the St. Louis Cardinals and IU basketball, and flower gardening. She will be deeply missed by all. JoElla was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Elmer Devine; 2nd husband Jim Nolley; and siblings Chick Leonard, Hester Leonard, Juanita Carnahan, Verda Gregory, Charlotte Healy, Harriet Mattingly, Tom Leonard and Loren Leonard. She is survived by her children Mike (Sherry) Devine, Sandy (Gary) Williams, David (Ingrid) Devine, Larry (Greta) Devine, Debbie (Greg) Mullen; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Patty Campbell; step-children Becky (Ed) Simmerman, Cheryl (Ted) Morgan, Jim Nolley Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. Goodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mrs. Nolley. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
