John Douglas

John Phillip Douglas, 55, of Owensville, IN was unexpectedly taken from this life November 21, 2018. He was born May 5, 1963 in Evansville, IN to Frederick and Sharon Douglas. John was a graduate of Gibson Southern High School, class of 1981. He was a farmer and member of the Owensville United Methodist Church. John was an avid standard bred horse racing fan and enjoyed playing cards. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and uncle that will be dearly missed. John is survived by his mother Sharon Douglas; wife of 17 years Rebecca Douglas; sons Gunner Douglas and Kix Douglas; siblings Mick Douglas and Dixie (Bill) Dickerson; and niece Deidra Dickerson. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Douglas. Funeral services will be held 11am Monday, November 25, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home with Pastor Marsha Bishop officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday 4p-8p. Interment will be at Clark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to The Owensville United Methodist Church.
