John Memering

John W. Memering, 60, of 11782 E 5th, Ragsdale, passed away at 5:35 p.m. Saturday October 18, 2014 at his residence.He was born October 31, 1953 in Vincennes to Walter and Janet (Trubac) Memering. John belonged to the Carpenters Union and was site manager for Tackenake. A 1971 graduate of South Knox, he was a member of the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club and the French Club in Bicknell. John was a hard worker and a great provider for his family. He was very devoted for his job and made good friends wherever he went and always had a smile to share and a heart of gold. John liked to fish, hunt, four wheeling, river boating, and loved to ride his Harley. He loved his wife, son, grandsons, and his dog Sadie with all his heart and his family including his good friends as he thought of them as family and lived his life to the fullest.Surviving is his wife, Debbie (Jones) Memering whom he married on December 27, 1984; his mother, Janet Memering of Bicknell; his son, Ryan (Serena) Memering of Pavilion, Wyoming; two grandsons, Brennan Memering of Ragsdale and Jordan Memering of Wyoming; a brother, Joe Memering of Bicknell; a sister, Kathi Memering of Ragsdale; two god daughters, Kristi Ritz of Bruceville and Kari Bowers of Bicknell, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. John was preceded in death by his father, and a brother, David Memering.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at Goodwin Funeral Home.
