John Watjen

Andy Watjen, 62 passed away at 8:35 a.m. on December 18, 2012 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington, IN. Andy was born in Vincennes on January 20, 1950 the son of Herman and Nora (Rowe) Watjen.Andy spent his whole life working hard, he was a farmer. A truck driver he loved doing things outdoors and valued every moment he spent with his loved ones. Andy worked for Robinson Brothers Trucking for several years. He spent a lot of time in the truck with his grandson Nick. Survivors include his son, Andy Watjen of Wheatland; daughter, Sara Dombroski and her husband Eric of Indianapolis; grandson, Nick Watjen; sister, Phyllis Watjen of Indianapolis; sister, Mary Wallace of Wheatland; brother, Henry Watjen and his wife Sue of Vincennes; sister, Anna McKinnon of Vincennes; brother, J.D. "Peanut" Watjen of Wheatland, Andy was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Carrie Watjen.Funeral services for Andy will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with the Rev. Jarrod Chattin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may visit with Andy's family from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
