Joseph Erie Sanneman Sr.

Joseph Erie Sanneman Sr., 82, of Vincennes, passed away at 3:20 am Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Lodge of the Wabash.He was born March 2, 1937 in Vincennes to Gervase and Velma (Decker) Sanneman.Joe worked as a carpenter for 46 years working for himself and for Street Brothers Construction. A 1956 graduate of Fritchton High School, Joe was a avid woodworker and master carpenter. He enjoyed going to craft shows around the tristate, Indiana University Basketball, and the St. Louis Cardinals.Surviving are his children, Tammy Cooper and her significant other Bob Cuneo of Vincennes, Debbie Daffron and her husband Doug of Bicknell and Joseph Sanneman Jr. of Vincennes; two sisters, Marcia Hathaway and her husband Jim of Winslow, IN and Nancy Ellermann of Vincennes; his grandchildren, Amanda Evenson, Shelby VanLue, Tyler Daffron; and his great grandchildren, Conner Goforth, Carson Goforth, Chevy Goforth, Ryleigh Goforth, Gavin Blann, Joely Evenson, and Dylan Evenson.Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Beverly Jean (Street) Sanneman whom he married on September 13, 1958 and preceded him on March 30, 2012; and a granddaughter, Auburn Goforth.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the service time on Saturday.
