Joseph Frisz

Joseph E. Frisz, 76, of Wheatland, IN, passed November 18, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Hospital.Joe was a member of Ironworkers local #518, and had worked at Vincennes Steel. He enjoyed welding, and many of his neighbors brought equipment to him to be fixed. If Joe welded something, it did not come apart. He also farmed with a family friend. Deer hunting and woodworking were favorite pastimes. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During his time in the US Army, he served in Korea and Vietnam.Born August 12, 1940, in Vincennes, Joe was the son of Joseph John and Dorothy Catherine (Suddeth) Frisz. His parents; sister, Rose Spalla; and his brothers, William Lee and Richard Earl Frisz preceded him.Surviving is his wife, Delores (Watkins) Frisz; his son, Eric Frisz and his wife, Diane, of Vincennes; brothers, Robert and Frank Frisz; and his grandchildren, Caleb Frisz, Matthew Frisz, and Robert Vaughn.Joe's funeral service will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home, on Tuesday, at 2:00 Friends may visit with his family from 1:00 - 2:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
