Joseph M. Marley, 93, of Vincennes, passed away Oct. 13, 2014,at his son's home in Wheatland, IN.Born October 10, 1921 in Marion County, IN, he was the son of Fred and Nellie (Smith) Marley. His parents preceded him, as well as his brothers, Mike Marley, and Walter Marley.Joe was a retired pharmacist, having worked at Kramer's, Brasseur's, Mills for Pills, the pharmacy at the Wabash Valley Correctional Center, and then retired from Moore and Miller in 1999.. He served in the Navy during World War II. Joe was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Vincennes Civitan Club, and the Bethlehem General Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon and Sunday School Teacher.Surviving is his wife, Jo Ann (Chambers)Marley; his children, Mary Levitt and her companion, Terry Dale, of Vincennes, Joseph D. Marley, and his wife, Kelly Denise, of Wheatland, IN, Beth Marley and her companion, Jeff Paech, of Robinson, IL, Audie Waggner, and her husband, Terry, of Three Rivers, MI, Kayron Frye, and her husband, Donald, of Vincennes, Kelly Dean Marley, and his wife, Ann of Vincennes, and Kerri Dudasko, of Vincennes; a special niece, Tricia Purcell; sisters, Ann Pride of Martinsville, IN, and Dorothy "baby sister" Stergar of Shelbyville, IN; brothers, Claude Marley of Frankfort, IN, and Johnny Marley of Indianapolis, IN; a special friend, Bob Mills, and many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.Services will be conducted on Thursday, at 3:00, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 to 3:00 on Thursday. A private family interment service will be held later.Donations may be made to the Welch Diabetes Center or to KCARC.
