Joyce Biggs

Joyce Kay Biggs, 70, of 1412 N. 12th St, Vincennes, passed away at 10:24 pm Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born March 29, 1940 in Lawrence County, Illinois to C.A. "Jack" and Emma Mae (Norton) Biggs.Kay was secretary for the First Christian Church for many years and also was the pianist for Heritage Baptist Church in Vincennes. She played for many funeral and weddings in the area. Surviving are her sister, Sue (Norman W.) Schmidt of Mt Carmel, a niece, Melody (Greg) Waker of Mt. Carmel, a nephew, Doug (Carol) Schmidt of Noblesville, and four great nephews.Preceding her in death were her parents, and a sister, Juanita Mae Biggs.A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm EDT Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Heritage Baptist Church, 1860 S. Hart St. Vincennes. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 pm EDT until service time on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heritage Baptist Church or the choice of the donor.
