Joyce Dunham

Joyce M. Dunham, 85, passed away on April 23, 2012 at Bridgepointe Health Campus. Joyce was born on April 7, 1927 in Wheatland, IN the daughter of Oscar and Ethel (Scott) McElroy. She married Ray Dunham in November of 1977, and he preceded her in death. Joyce was a 1945 graduate of Wheatland High School and was a member of Wheatland Christian Church. She was a telephone operator for Indiana Bell retiring in 1978. Joyce was also a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her son, Steve Dunn and his wife Kathy A. (Dare) of Huntingburg and two grandchildren, Jeremy S. Dunn and wife Stephanie and Rebecca J. Dunn. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Barbara Nelson and one brother, Francis McElroy. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery Tower II Mausoleum with the Pastor Thomas L. Amos officiating. Entombment will follow. There will be no viewing and Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St. is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW or the American Legion Auxiliary.
