Joyce Shepard

Joyce Elaine Shepard, 76, passed away at 6:30 am on March 8, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Joyce was born on August 15, 1946, in Vincennes and she is the daughter of Walter and Ella (Canady) Hedge. Joyce had worked as an office clerk for Prairie Farms and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of Joyce's favorite past times were crocheting, making plastic canvas articles, and ceramics. She was very good at making friends and organizing parties. Joyce was also very generous with her money and substance and liked to shop. Survivors include her daughter, Rhonda Johnson and her husband Alan of Winchester, VA; sisters, Rita Brooks and her husband Dennis of Mona, UT, Debra Hedge of Vincennes, Carol Goldman and her husband Keith of Vincennes; grandchildren, Rachel, Ella and Vance Johnson. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ella Hedge. There will be a private graveside service held for Joyce at a date and time to be determined.
