Juanita Lenahan

Juanita Fay (Rhoads) Lenahan, 83, Vincennes, passed away at 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born December 7, 1927, in Paris, IL, she was the daughter of Chester and LaDonna (Watson) Rhodes. Her parents preceded her, as well as her brother Winston Rhodes and her sister Fern Keltz.She and her family moved to Vincennes in 1967. She was a long-time employee of Vincennes University working in various administrative positions until her retirement in December 1992. She was a member of Old Cathedral Church and had been a member of the Vincennes Women's Club.Survivors include her husband, James of Vincennes; son, Daniel Spence of Avon; four daughters, Sue (Con) Sullivan of Grand Junction, CO, Jeana Thompson of Las Vegas, NV, Mardi (Michael) Leonard of Bloomington, IN and Lisa (Cindy) Spence of West Chester, OH; stepson, Scott Lenahan of Danville, IN ; stepdaughter, Suzan (Chip) Langlois of Irvine, CA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and brother, Harold (Barbara) Rhodes of Paris, IL.Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., with Rev. John Schipp officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
