Judith Ann Long

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Judith Ann Long, a beloved member of the Vincennes, IN community. Born on November 28, 1939, Judith dedicated her life to spreading love and kindness to everyone she met. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Jamie Lankford and a cherished grandmother to Olivia Lankford. She was the loving wife of the late Larry D. Long and mother to the late Lanny D. Long.

Throughout her life, Judith found joy in baking and sharing her delicious creations with others. Her love for her dogs was evident to all who knew her, and she treasured the companionship they provided. For over 25 years, Judith worked tirelessly at Gates Bridal World, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity. She was a lifelong member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was a faithful servant to the Lord. She found fulfillment in volunteering at her church and giving back to those in need. She was also a member of the Alter Society, The Ladies Auxiliary at the K of C's, and monthly card group of her treasured friends.

Surviving Judith is her daughter, Jamie Lankford and her granddaughter, Olivia Lankford; brothers, Jerry Pruitt and Larry Jo Pruitt; and sister, Glenda Emmett. Preceding Judith in death are her parents, Roy D. (Darby) Pruitt and Dorothy Elizabeth; brother, Roy Eugene Pruitt; husband, Larry Long; son, Lanny Long.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024, from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at St. John's Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:00 am with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Judith.
