Judith Kussy

Judith (Judy) Ann Kussy, 81, of Fishers, Indiana passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022. She was born in Geneva, Illinois on July 17, 1941 to Hubert and Mildred (Loge) Vest. She graduated from Flora High School, where she excelled in science. On January 14, 1962, she married Edwin Kussy in Glendive, Montana. She moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1988 and lived there for 34 years. Judy was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she served as a Sacristan and Eucharistic minister, for 27 years. Judy loved teaching young children. She ran a daycare out of her home for many years and then worked as a teacher's aide at Trinity Child Care for 13 years before she retired. She loved long walks, gardening, and anything sweet. Judy was well known for her fierce loyalty and love of her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, and she especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's cross-country meets and basketball games. Judy will remain alive in the hearts of all those she touched. Judy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Judy is survived by her four children, Leisa (Richard) Smith of Fishers, Indiana, Steve Kussy of Celestine, Indiana, Janet (Charles) Murray of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michael (Maria) Kussy of Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as 16 grandchildren (Josh, Sarah, Matthew, Stephanie, Emily, Brittany, Kristin, Aaron, Zachary, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Isaac, Joseph, Simon, Xavier, and Daniel), and one great-grandchild (Charlotte). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on October 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Washington, Indiana with Rev. Juan Ramirez and Yvonne Evans celebrating. Friends may visit with Judy's family from 10:00 am until the start of the mass at 10:30 am. on Monday. Judy will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery beside her husband.
