Julia Wehrman

Julia "Julie" Elizabeth Wehrman, 83, of Vincennes, passed away on December 8, 2016 at the BridgePointe Health Campus.A graduate of Central High School in St. Louis, MO, she worked at Malinkrodt of St. Louis, and was a pastor's wife. In Vincennes, Julie was employed at several businesses in secretarial or accounting positions. She volunteered at Generations, the Kids Hope and Babe Store at St. John's UCC, and did tax counseling for the elderly.Julie enjoyed many activities such as playing games, jewelry making, miniatures, oil painting, ceramics, knitting, sewing, and other crafts. She was an avid reader. Other favorite activities included golf, traveling, and water exercise at the YMCA. She enjoyed her church, and spending time with beloved family and dear friends.Surviving is her husband, Marvin Wehrman, whom she married on August 27, 1953, in St. Louis, MO; her children, Douglas Wehrman of Lafayette, IN, Phillip Wehrman and his wife, Inez, of Vincennes, Michael Wehrman and his wife, Donna, of Lawrenceville, IL, and Diane Parker and her husband, Dan, of St. Charles, MO; her grandchildren, Rich Wehrman and his wife, Andrea, David Wehrman, Patrick Wehrman, and Justin Wehrman; her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lilly, Ashlyn, Cassidy, and Isabella; a sister, Kitty Grutzmacher; brothers, Bob Gamber, John Gamber, and Bill Gamber; and many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren by marriage.Born in Pennsylvania, Julie was the daughter of Harry and Katherine Gamber. Her parents and two brothers, Ed and Jim, preceded her.A celebration of Julie's life, conducted by Rev. Lynn Marino, will be held at Goodwin Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 11:00. Friends may visit with her family from 10 - 11 on Saturday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
