Karen Garrett

Karen L. Garrett, 62, of Owensville went to be with the Lord August 6, 2018. She was born in Evansville, IN January 30, 1956 to Joe Allen Phillips and Shirley Sue (Powers) Phillips. Karen had a love and passion for making amazing food, including her award winning cheeseball. She also enjoyed sewing, but most of all her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Karen is survived by her parents Joe and Shirley; siblings Mike Phillips, Paula (David) Huey, and Hearl "Geno" Phillips; children Nicole and Tanya; and grandchildren Shane, Samantha, Shawn, Anzaleem, Zaylynn, and Lillyonna. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Hearl and Lilie Phillips, Gurnie and Dalpha Powers and siblings Samantha Marion and Darrell Phillips. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Karen Garrett. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Holders Funeral Home from 4p.m.- 6p.m. There will be a private graveside service at Maumee Cemetery at a later date.
