Karen J. Sager, 80, of Vincennes, went to be with the Lord at 7:34 pm Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.She was born May 13, 1938 in Palestine, Illinois to Walter and (Bus) and Ruth Leola (Smith) Potts.Karen retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in the Food Service Department. She also had worked at the Executive Inn and the Downtown Caf. She enjoyed dominoes, crafts, her flower garden and loved being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Surviving are her children, Sandee Covey and her husband Marvin of Vincennes, Tina Holman and her husband Don of Monroe City, Leslie Hamrick and her husband Brent of Williston, N.D., William "Kelly" Sager and his wife Charla, and Tom Sager; a brother, Michal Dennis Potts of Vincennes; a sister, Ruth Liston of Pilot Rock, Oregon; along with 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Sager, whom she married on April 4, 1958 and preceded her on September 27, 1991; and a daughter, Lisa Ermel.Visitation will be from 6-7:45 pm Monday, March 25 at Goodwin Funeral Home where there will be a short prayer service at 7:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Good Samaritan Hospice.
