Karen Waldrop

Karen A. Waldrop, 52 of 3619 S. Hart Street Road, passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Karen was born in Peru, Indiana on June 7, 1960 the daughter of Richard and Gwendolyn (Corley) Lucas. Karen married James Waldrop, Sr. on April 14, 1984.Karen was a Loan Processing Manager for several mortgage companies. She was of the Presbyterian Faith. Karen enjoyed shopping, cooking, spending time with her kids and taking care of her family. She had a passion for working and enjoyed buying and watching Hallmark movies. Karen enjoyed her daily chats with her best friend Karen Tedder.Survivors include her husband, James Waldrop, Sr. of Vincennes; mother and step-father, Gwendolyn and Sam Barbagiovanni of Burlington, Iowa; sons, James Waldrop, Jr. and his wife Anastasia of Westfield, IN; Brian M. Ross and his wife Elizabeth (Navntoft) of Burlington, Iowa; grandson, Blaine Ross, step-mother, Wynona Lucas of Magnolia, TX; brother, Richard Lucas and his wife Debbie of Lafayette, IN; sisters, Susan Haynes and husband George of Arcola, IL; Lana Anderson and husband Tim of Bloomington, IL and brother Curtis Lucas and wife Caitlin of Albuquerque, NM. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lucas.Funeral services for Karen will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with the Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Karen's family on Sunday from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
