Kayla Alise (Goldman) Flaherty, a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant at Good Samaritan Hospital, passed away on October 4, 2024. Kayla was born on August 16, 1988, in Vincennes the daughter of Keith and Carol (Hedge) Goldman.
Known for her active involvement in her community and church, Kayla was a cherished presence in the nursery, children's and young women organizations. She shared her passion for music through leading the congregation in song and sang in the church choir. Her giving spirit extended beyond the church walls, as she generously volunteered her time and skills to support the Princeton High School Band Color Guard.
In her personal life, Kayla found joy in crafting, cooking, and wholeheartedly participating in her children's activities. Her warm presence and unwavering dedication to those around her will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include her mother and father, Carol and Keith Goldman of Vincennes; her children, Sophie Jean and Parker Keith Flaherty; sister, Kelley Felt and her husband Peter of Evansville, brothers, Craig Goldman and his wife Marie of Fortville, IN, Clint Goldman and his wife Olivia of Provo, UT; paternal grandmother, Mildred Goldman of Vincennes; her aunts, Debra Hedge of Vincennes, Rita Brooks and her husband Dennis of Mona, UT, Uncle Robbie Goldman and his wife Kelly of Vincennes; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kayla is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Walter and Ella Hedge, her paternal grandfather Robert Goldman, and her aunt Joyce Shepard.
Friends may visit with Kayla's family from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway, Vincennes, IN 47591. Kayla's funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Bishop Scott Durrant officiating. She will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. Kayla's family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Sophie and Parker Flaherty Fund. Online memories may be shared with Kayla's family and friends at www.goodwinsieversfh.com.
