Kelly Jones

Kelly D. Jones, 56, of Vincennes, passed away May 26, 2014, at his home. He was born November 26, 1957, in Vincennes, to Charles "Chad" and Sue Ann (Brocksmith) Jones, and grew up in Freelandville, IN. A 1976 graduate of North Knox High School, he graduated from Indiana State University in 1980. Kelly was a State Farm Insurance agent, and a member of the First Baptist Church. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Bicknell Country Club. A past Exalted Ruler at the Bicknell Elks Club, he was also a Rotarian. Kelly and Kyela enjoyed the music of Jimmy Buffett. Surviving is Kelly's wife, Kyela (Brackin) Jones, whom he wed June 16, 1984; his children, Breanne Michelle and Brock David Jones, both at home; a brother, Kevin Jones of Naples, FL; his step-mother, Sharon Jones of Freelandville, IN; his father and mother-in-law, Joe and Betty Brackin of Hazelton, IN; sisters-in-law, Paula (Jeff) Pinkstaff of Francisco, IN, Pam (Paul) Duncan of Evansville, IN, Karla (Tracy) Hurst of Francisco, IN, and Marla (Greg) Rollo of McCordsville, IN; nieces and nephews, Paige and Shelby PInkstaff, and Matthew and Emily Rollo; and his step-brothers, Tod Held of Vincennes, Tom Held of Vincennes, Wade Held of Linton, IN, and Chad Held of Oaktown, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 - 8:00 Wednesday, and 3:00 - 4:00 on Thursday, at the First Baptist Church. The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, at 4:00, at the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Freelandville Memorial Cemetery.
