Kenneth Burch

Kenneth "Ken" H. Burch, of Bruceville, IN, passed away November 22, 2012, at Eastgate Manor in Washington, IN. He was a self-employed truck driver. During WWII, he served in the 3344th Quartermaster Corps on various islands in the South Pacific. He was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church. Ken is survived by his wife, Gertrude "Gertie" (McCord) Burch, whom he married March 4, 1949; his daughter, Denise (Randy) Barker of Vincennes; a son, Brian (Karen) Burch of Bicknell, IN; a brother, Marvin "Bud" Burch of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Jill Gandy, Amanda LeFaure, Michael Westfall, and Jason Westfall; and great-grandchildren, Blake Gandy, Jacob LeFaure, Ethan LeFaure, Isabella LeFaure, Reese Westfall, Lainey Westfall, and Savannah Westfall. Born Sept. 8, 1923, in Daviess County, IN, he was the son of Emo and Jennie (Ketchem) Westfall. They preceded him, as well as four sisters and one brother. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 9:00-11:00 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway. A funeral service will follow at 11:00. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
