Kenneth P. Burnworth, 84, of 802 N 9th Vincennes, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital.He was born January 19, 1929 in Vincennes, Indiana to Harry and Garnett (Baldwin) Burnworth.Kenneth was a glass cutter at Blackford Glass, working alongside his brother and father, and then was a foreman at Packaging for 25 years. He also owned and operated the Vincennes Bus Station and was the Vincennes Street Superintendent during Belle Kastings administration. His memberships included the First Christian Church, which he had served as deacon and elder, Knox County Shrine Club, which he had served as President, Hadi Temple, 50 plus member of the Masonic Lodge #1, 32nd Degree Mason, and the Scottish Rite. A hobbyist he was especially fond of gardening and woodworking.Those left to honor Kenneth include his wife, Barbara (Nickless) Burnworth whom he married February 13, 1982; his children, Brenda (Tim) Thompson of Vincennes, Pat (Janna) Burnworth of Lawrenceville, Brent Burnworth and his companion, Linda Garcia of Jacksonville, Fl, Lisa Gayer of Vincennes, Angela Gayer of Vincennes, and Michael (Cathy) Gayer of Warsaw, KY; his grandchildren, Erica Davis, Melissa (Tory) Jarrard, Tyler (Amanda) Thompson, Shelby (Bryan) Quarterman, Brittany (Courtney)Patterson, Jarrod Gayer, and Taylor Gayer; 8 great grandchildren; and a nephew, David (Anne) Burnworth.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at First Christian Church with Rev. Rick Grant officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon until the service time at the church.
