Kenneth Jones

Kenneth M. (K. Mike) Jones, 70, passed away at his home on June 27, 2021. Mike was born on August 5, 1950, in Washington, IN. He married Mary Lou Loughmiller on December 11, 1971, and she survives.Mike was a 1968 graduate of Washington High School and attended Oakland City College. He owned and operated Art Carpet Co. for forty-six years, retiring in November 2020. Mike was a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge 461, Aikman Creek Baptist Church, and enjoyed golfing with his buddies, gardening, puttering in his workshop, and spending time with his grandchildren and two dogs.Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Jones of Washington, daughters, Dr. Ann E. Jones and her partner, Cameron Ezell of Nevada, and Katlin Riester and her husband Tommy, of Washington; three grandchildren, Kennedy Kennard, Charlie Kennard, and Quinn Riester, all of Washington; and a brother, Mark H. Jones and his wife Bonnie of Washington. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and June (Mitchell) Jones.Friends may visit with Mike's family from 10:00 am until the hour of service time of 1:00 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State St., Washington, IN. Mike will be laid to rest in Aikman Creek Cemetery and Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mike.
