Kenneth L. Bottoms

May 3, 1940 — August 3, 2024

Kenneth Lowell Bottoms, 84, passed away peacefully August 3, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Kenneth was born on May 3, 1940, in Monroe City, IN, and was the son of the late Joseph Bottoms and Irene (Wesley) Bottoms. He married the love of his life, Bonnie (Arnold) on June 30, 1968 and together made a beautiful life together raising their two boys, Jeff and Philip.


Kenny found joy and satisfaction in ensuring every plumbing and heating project was completed to perfection, earning him a reputation for his attention to detail and exceptional craftsmanship. His commitment to excellence extended to his role as a member of the Harrison Township Fire Department, where he served as fire chief and played a pivotal role in the construction of the new fire department building.


Kenny's most cherished role was that of a devoted family man. His love for his family was unwavering, and he found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who he affectionately referred to as his "Buddies Forever." His bond with his family was unbreakable, and his legacy of love and devotion will forever be remembered.


Surviving Kenny is his wife, Bonnie; children, Jeff and Angie Bottoms of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Philip and Rhonda of Paragould, Arkansas; his "Buddies Forever" grandchildren, Zach Bottoms, Cameron Bottoms and Conner Bottoms; sister in law and brother in law, Faye and Clem Bilskie; sister in law, Mary Jane Bottoms; and several nieces and nephews. Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Bottoms and Irene Bottoms; and siblings, Betty Houchin, Chuck Bottoms, Peg Morton, Hattie Downey, and Jerry Bottoms.


A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 919 Willow St. Vincennes, Indiana at 10:00 am with the Rev. Gary Arnold officiating.


In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Harrison Township Fire Department or the Christian Education Foundation. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Kenneth.
