Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Ming, 50 and Devona Diane Beard- Ming, 54, passed away tragically on Saturday, July 6, 2024, in Edgar County, IL as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Devona was born on January 6, 1970, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Jack and Devona (Donahue) Beard. She married Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Ming on May 23, 1998, and he preceded her in death.
Devona has been a paralegal for Shonk Law in Linton, IN. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband Kenny and shopping. She was known by her children as the Boss and the Lady in charge! Most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Kenny was born on July 24, 1973, in Sullivan, IN the son of Thomas and Helen (Williams) Ming. He married Devona Beard on May 23, 1998.
Kenny dedicated his life as a public servant putting others above himself at all times. He has been paramedic for twenty-six years most recently employed by United Life Care in Robinson, IL.
Kenny is a member of Cloven Hoofs MC and an Eagle Scout. He is also known as the family mechanic and served for many years as a volunteer Fireman for the Thunderbird Volunteer Fire Department.
Kenny and Devona are survived by their children, Bridget Beard (Austin Colby) of Sullivan, Liam Beard and his wife Morgan of Sullivan, Brenden Ming (Sam Posey) of Terre Haute, Kathleen Ming of Sullivan, Lauren Ming (Anthony Crockett) of Farmersburg, Nora Ming (Lantz Frazee) of Sullivan, grandchildren, Piper Sexton, Declan Beard, Emmett Taylor and Parker Beard.
Devona is also survived by her siblings, Diane Berggren of Michigan City, IN, Tim Beard of Chicago, IL, Kathryn Soja and her husband Rick of Chicago, IL and Megan Ziech and her husband Roger of Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Devona Beard and her husband Kenny.
Kenny is also survived by his mother, Helen Ming of Farmersburg. Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Thomas Ming and two sisters, Shannon and Dori Ming.
Friends may visit with Kenny and Devona's family from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Dugger Union High School, 7356 E. County Road 50 South, Dugger, IN 47848. Pastor Rocky Thompson will officiate, and Kenny and Devona will be laid to rest in Dugger Cemetery.
