Kerry Overton

Kerry L. Overton, 50, of Owensville, IN went to be with the Lord May 13, 2022. He was born in Newport News, VA to David Lee Overton and C. Marie Overton. Kerry attended and graduated from Gibson Southern High School in 1989, then furthered his education at Purdue University earning his BS in 1993, and finally earning his Masters at University of Dayton in 2003. He married his best friend Anne July 3, 2001 and was blessed with two children. Kerry was an Area Business Manager for Bayer Crop Science for 6 years with 29 years experience in the Ag industry. He volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and served as a Precinct Committeeman for Gibson County. Kerry proudly served as a deacon for First Baptist Church Princeton and taught Sunday school. He enjoyed produce farming, bee keeping, being a tough opponent in pickle ball, and most importantly spending time with his children. Kerry gave his final gift in life with the gift of organ donation. He was preceded in death by his father David Overton; uncle Gordon Overton; and aunt Wanda Plummer. Kerry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Anne; children Isabelle and Simon Overton, mother C. Marie Overton; siblings Gayle (Mark) Lundtvedt, Dawn (Henry) Archer, Kim (Dave) Singleton, Kevin (Pom) Hallett, and David (Missy) Hallett. Holder's Funeral Home is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Overton. Visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church 800 W. Faith Blvd in Princeton from 10-1p. Funeral will be held Friday at 1pm and burial at Saulmon Cemetery.
