Lana Spaulding

Lana J. Spaulding, 61 passed away on October 8, 2018 at her residence. Lana was born in Washington, IN on November 22, 1956 the daughter of Robert C. and Imogene (Robinson) Arthur. She married William "Bill" Spaulding on May 19, 1979 and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2016.Lana was a Senior Branch Office Administrator and limited partner for Edward Jones. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. and loved animals especially her three dogs, her church and her small bible study group. She enjoyed walking and cherished her walks with Bill and her trips to Cancun and Florida.Survivors include her sister, Marsha Pemberton and her husband Bill of Ellettsville, IN; sister-in-law's, Harriett Petty and her husband Steve of Washington, Mary Wimmenauer of Washington, Patsy McCullough and her husband Doug of Washington, Nancy Anderson and her husband Harry of Lady Lake, FL; brother-in-law, Glenn Spaulding of Washington; aunt, Diana Peel and her husband George of Washington; uncle Jerry Robinson of Washington; very good friend Brenda Parsons of Washington; and a second mom to Hannah Parsons, Lindsey Upton and Baby Cash. Lana is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lana was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Spaulding and her nephew Michael Goss.Friends may visit with Lana's family from 4-8 pm on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN. Lana's funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Bethany Christian Church, 1139 IN 57, Washington, IN with Bro. Matt Merrold officiating. Interment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Friends for Animals, P.O. Box 402, Washington, IN 47501.
